Dr. Youssef Tawfik is a board certified internist, trained to deal with various medical problems patients bring into the office -- (simple or complex). He is specially trained to handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. He also brings to patients an understanding of wellness (disease prevention and the promotion of health), women's health, substance abuse, mental health, as well as effective treatment of common problems of the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs & diagnoses such as diabetes, hypertension, ashtma, heart disease, etc.

In today's complex medical environment, Dr. Tawfik takes pride in caring for his patients for life -- in office, during hospitalization and intensive care, and in nursing homes--as well as the patients' homes, if necessary. When other medical specialists, such as surgeons or obstetricians, are involved, he coordinates his patients' care and manages difficult medical problems associated with that care.

Advanced Technology & Concepts in Patient Care
We utilize EHR (electronic health record) technology. Through our on-line portal, patients are able to access their medical records 24-hours/day, 7 days/week. We use software that is integrated with our laboratory for the quickest possible delivery of test results. We perform blood draws in office, and in most cases can have test results back the next day. We do EKG's and various other lab testing in-office.
